Scaling Fast Without the Operations to Support It? I fix that.
I help CFOs, COOs, and VPs of Ops at mid-market construction companies ($50M–$500M) build operations that keep up with their growth, including AI where it actually counts.
$9.5B+ in projects delivered. Former engineer with 15 years inside construction and O&G EPC before Deloitte. I've sat in the same seat your team sits in.
Does This Sound Familiar?
You're winning work. Revenue is up. But your operations haven't kept pace. And fixing that while you're still growing feels like rebuilding the plane mid-flight.
-

Outgrown Your Operations
Your back office was built for a $30M company.
Processes that worked when you were smaller are now creating bottlenecks, manual workarounds, and margin erosion. Growth has exposed the gaps, and they're only getting wider.
-

ERP That's Underdelivering
Off track, over budget, or stuck at low adoption or ROI.
You invested in technology that was supposed to fix things. Instead you're dealing with timeline slippage, cost overruns, and a system your team won't use. The problem isn't the software.

No Clear Path on AI
You know it could help. But where do you start?
Everyone's talking about AI in construction. You have a growing sense it could reduce manual effort and improve visibility, but no practical roadmap that fits your operations.
Recent Results
Real-time Margin Visibility Across $8B in Mega-Projects
Managed commercial and financial operations across two U.S. LNG mega-projects with 800+ personnel and multiple joint venture partners. Replaced disconnected spreadsheets and manual processes with standardized change management, automated cost estimating, and real-time tracking tied to margin impact, allowing leadership to see how each change affected project economics before making commitments.
Cash Flow Reporting Reduced by 3 Days Across 16 Global Sites
A Fortune 1000 technology company's cash flow reporting process was broken across its global data center construction portfolio. Monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles were plagued by errors and manual workarounds. Diagnosed the root causes, built and delivered structured training on WIP and accruals for project personnel across all 16 sites, automated report generation and reconciliation workflows using AI, and delivered live dashboards giving leadership real-time budget and cash flow visibility.
Full Cost Visibility Built From Scratch During a $1.5B Crisis
Brought into a luxury high-rise development in financial freefall: no cost visibility, no forecasting infrastructure, and a client funding weeks from collapse. Built the project's entire financial control system from scratch, including full cost tracking across 18+ subcontracts, automated reconciliation against G702/G703 billing, and complete transparency into payment shortfalls. When the client defaulted on $250M+ and funding collapsed, that infrastructure became the basis for managing the shutdown and protecting the GC's legal positioning.
$4M in Avoided Costs and 85% Adoption on a Failing ERP
Stepped into the senior lead role on an ERP implementation that was six months behind schedule and losing momentum. Re-sequenced the entire backlog by complexity and priority, restructured team assignments around the highest-risk builds, replanned the timeline around incremental go/no-go decisions, and stood up daily visibility into every work component.
The result: 85% user adoption and $4M in avoided delay costs on a program the company had already invested millions in.
How I Work
Most engagements start with an Operational Readiness Assessment: a focused diagnostic that identifies the highest-impact gaps and builds a clear, prioritized action plan. From there, work falls into one of three areas:
-
Your operations were built for a smaller, simpler version of your company. I map what's actually happening against what needs to happen, then redesign workflows, reporting structures, and accountability systems so your back office can keep pace with your growth.
-
Whether you're planning a new implementation, stuck mid-rollout, or sitting on a system nobody uses - I get it back on track. No vendor relationships, no inflated scope. Every recommendation is shaped by what your operations actually need.
-
Not a pilot that goes nowhere. I identify where AI can reduce manual effort, improve visibility, or accelerate decisions your team is already making, and build a roadmap that fits your environment.

Your Operations Partner
I started as a civil engineer and spent 15 years inside construction and O&G EPC operations before joining Deloitte. $9.5B of real cost pressure, real schedules, real accountability. I've sat in the same seat your team sits in.
That background is why I don't bring a playbook from another industry. I've managed cost on mega-projects, led commercial operations, and sat through the same audits and owner meetings your team sits through.
When I recommend a process change or a technology decision, it's shaped by how construction actually works. The field realities, subcontractor dynamics, lump sum risk, percent-complete reporting, etc., not frameworks borrowed from tech or manufacturing.
The First Step is a Conversation
30-minute discussion • No obligation • Completely confidential
If any of this sounds familiar, most engagements begin with an Operational Readiness Assessment: a diagnostic that maps where your operations are against where they need to be.
The first step is a 30-minute call where I learn enough about your situation to tell you whether that assessment would be worth your time. No pitch, no pressure. Just an honest conversation about what you're dealing with.
